Garrett Anderson Died of Pancreatitis

MLB star Garrett Anderson died as a result of acute necrotizing pancreatitis, the Orange County Sheriff Coroner's Office confirmed.

The Anderson family received closure regarding the cause of death for the former Angels star. Garrett Anderson, a three-time All-Star and 2002 World Series champion, passed away last week at age 53.

The Angels organization has honored Anderson with a "GA" patch on their jerseys and an emblem in the outfield of Angel Stadium. Anderson finished with 2,529 hits and a .293 career batting average after being selected in the fourth round of the 1990 draft. ipl-cricket.in
